“ I didn't think I would be posting about this restaurant so I didn't take photos of the food. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Eugene. We got the chicken bowl, chicken platter, and gyro platter. The food was really fresh and well seasoned. What I like was that they had roasted carrots, Brussel sprouts and roasted peppers. They treated the vegetables with respect and it came through in the flavor. The tzatziki was thick and creamy. If you want delicious, healthy food then stop at Xerxes. Here is a picture of my plate. I ate everything. ”

“ First time here and it was delicious. So glad there is a good Mediterranean place in southern Medford. We were really missing the taste of home. There hummus and Kofta were delicious! And service was wonderful as well. ”

My friend and I ate lightly out of financial reasons and Ben saw we were eating light and gifted us a little extra food. You can tell he is a great person and cares about his customers. “ This was my first time stopping by here as I was passing through Ashland and I will definitely be coming back. The workers were so nice and you could see that they cared about the food. The combo bowl was a perfect meal with rice and a ton of grilled veggies and even more meat. Im not sure how they fit all of that in to one bowl. As you can tell *camera does NOT eat first* had to have a few bites and it was delicious! I can't wait for my next trip back because I am already thinking about the baklava with its perfect layers and sweet glaze ”

“ *Now you can place your order online (for pick-up) and avoid the 5% Ashland tax. Came in to place a to-go order. Noticed that the owner was onsite training staff, so I knew it was going to be good! The combo bowl with chicken, falafel, gyro meat is ON POINT! Plenty of protein on top of a generous portion of freshly grilled vegetables, green salad and cilantro rice. I was IMPRESSED with both the variation of grilled veggies and the cook. Veggies still had a bite (not overcooked) and were gently seasoned so you could still taste each brussel sprout, carrot, broccoli, pepper individually. VEGGIES WERE PERFECT! Green salad was crisp romaine base *perfect*. Cilantro rice was lightly seasoned and a nice base to the combination of flavors; good on it's own. $14.95 *SO GOOD* The f-bomb was a huge and packed with gyro meat. Seems a little pricey on the menu, but rest assured... even the teenager was FULL! $14.50 *YES* I can tell that the owner is doing his best to keep prices in check and the man is always working!! They have been open all through the pandemic and has been my go to anytime I'm feeling lazy and want healthy, delicious, filling, complete meal, and don't want to spend a small fortune. Don't forget to ask for a little container of the house made hot sauce *YUM* I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this LOCAL BUSINESS *5 stars* ”

“ I had an hour for lunch and didn't know where to go, so I started driving, and then I remembered that Xerxes was nearby. My phone wasn't working with the map so I just drove and luckily not a lot of traffic so I drove slowly down Siskiyou...and then I saw it! There is street parking and a few spaces in the back. Not only is Xerxes a grill but a small market for Greek products too. At first I was going to order the wrap, but I asked about the plate and I think the owner told me it came with rice, salad, naan bread, and more meat...SOLD! I didn't have to wait long which was good since I only had an hour. Very generous portion of the gyros meat. The rice was really flavorful! Some places, it's just basmati rice with little flavor, There was also some sauteed onions which were good! There wasn't any dressing on the salad, but I think the idea was to but the vegetables in the naan along with the gyros. What I really liked was the generous portion of tzatziki sauce! Most places give you a dinky cup and charge extra for more but this was a really nice surprise because I love tzatziki, and there's never enough! I also loved the grilled tomato and chili pepper. I ate the whole thing cause I'm a fatty! Can't wait to come back next year when I'm in school again, so I can try some of the other items. ”
